Kate has taught in public middle and high schools in Philadelphia, New Mexico, New Hampshire, and Maine. She lives in Maine with her husband and two teenage sons, and is glad that due to the educational benefits of schooling at home, no one in her household will ever stick a hot dog in the toaster again.
