Jessica Francis Kane is the author most recently of the novel Rules for Visiting, which was a finalist for the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction and longlisted for the Joyce Carol Oates Prize. Her first novel, The Report, was a finalist for the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize and her story collection, This Close, was longlisted for The Story Prize. Kane lives in New York City with her husband and children. Her third novel, Fonseca, is forthcoming from Penguin Press, if construction in the West Village ever ceases.
