Submission Guidelines for Flattened By the Curve

Nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers: McSweeney’s would love to hear from you.

No matter where you are, if you feel like writing about your experiences at this bewildering time, we will be proud to publish your words. Tell us what the world needs to know about what you’re seeing and feeling.

Submissions should be nonfiction and non-comedic, and ideally 500 words or less, but any length is fine. If you’d like to tell your nonfiction story, oral-history style, to one of our writers and have them help shape it, please send a short summary, and we’ll try to find a writer/editor to support you.

With your submission, please include:

• Your name
• Your role in medical field
• Hospital or institution
• City and State

Those who need anonymity will be accommodated.
