ATTENTION:
If you accidentally flushed something up the condenser of the rotavap or some of your compound somehow sublimes on the condenser, please make sure that you clean up afterwards. I am sure the person using the rotavap after you will not be very excited to see whatever you left behind drips back into his bump trap. In some types of bump traps, the dripped back material may enter into the person’s solution or compound and can pose unnecessary purification challenge to an already difficult separation problem!
Also, there is a handle on the rotavap. If you happen to have a very small flask, there is no need to fill the water bath all the way to the close-to-overflow level. You can always lower your flask into the water bath with the handle. If you do not know how to do that, I will be happy to show you.
