To keep our kids safe, there will be no trick-or-treating on Halloween this year. See below for alternate events and times in your area.

Morris County
A Trunk-or-Treat will be held in the parking lot behind St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 7, at 3 p.m.

Jackson County
Trick-or-Treating will be held (quietly!) in the stacks at the Jackson County Library from 9 to 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 15.

Furlow County
Harry Potter-themed Trick-or-Treating will be held in the empty “Diagon” alley behind Tony’s Auto Repair & Smoke Shop on Wednesday, October 25, from 5:15 to 6 p.m.

Samoy County
A Trick-or-Treat will be held in the condemned warehouse at the corner of Coulton and Maynard on Friday, October 27, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Downtown
Go to the laundromat off Main Street. Ask for “Marty.” Say, “No starch, please—it’s safer for the environment.” Marty will lead you to the back of the store and through a hidden door in the wall. After descending a spiral staircase, you will arrive at a large iron entry. Knock three times. Passcode: “This isn’t a costume.” Kelsey will let you in for the festivities. Starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 28.

Abermantle County
Wait until the next full moon. Find a bird that has landed OF ITS OWN ACCORD on your property. Slaughter it. Mix its blood with the tears of your last three shower cries. Let the concoction sit overnight in a sealed mason jar under the light of the full moon. In the morning, mix the potion into your coffee. Within fifteen minutes, you will know the location of the Trunk-or-Treat this year.

Monroe County
One week before Halloween, Monroe residents will receive a Magic 8 Ball at their doorstep. Ask the oracle yes or no questions to determine the time and location of Trunk-or-Treating.

Chikanook County
Walk through the seven gates in the correct order. Open the portal to hell to join the Pumpkin Party. We will be in the Fifth Circle. Apple bobbing, corn maze, and costume party. Sunday, October 29 at 4 p.m.

Kekizah County
Annual Fright Night will be held on March 15 at 7 a.m. Rain date: March 14 at 2 p.m.
